I’m an American living in Dublin, Ireland. My wife is from Spain and we have a little Yorkshire Terrier dog. I like to play tennis, paint watercolours, read books, travel and listen to all kinds of music.
I am certified to teach English and I have taught in Germany, Italy and Ireland in the classroom and online for many years.
I have a degree in Physics for which I studied six years in Germany.
Besides English I speak German and Spanish.
I have extensive experience working in cross cultural environments and have tutored students of English from many countries around the world of all ages and levels.
I enjoy helping students to improve their English. In your first lesson we will talk about your needs and I listen in order to assess your level and then make recommendations and plan your upcoming lessons to meet your needs. I watch for your weaknesses and address those with simple explanations and practice. My lessons are about you the student, so it's learner centred.
I like to provide fun but challenging lessons. For example I enjoy having students read and discuss interesting news items from a variety of online sources. This presents you with lots of new vocabulary and allows me to check your pronunciation and comprehension so you learn to express your opinion more effectively in English.
If you’re looking to improve your English in an enjoyable interactive way, book a lesson with me right now!
We talked about the various demographics in Iraq, then we discussed the composition I sent Todd yesterday. Lastly, we talked about James Webb Space Telescope. It was a nice lesson. Although I was tired, I enjoyed the lesson. Thanks Todd!
Todd is a great tutor. I like his friendly approach. In today's lesson I got acquainted with new words used in water and irrigation fields. He told me about the water use in USA and Ireland and I spoke to him about Iraqis water sources.
We read about a tecnical spec. It was important for my underdtanding. Now I will improve my grammar. I need the basics.
We read and discussed an article from the Guardian regarding a racist attack in London.
