Hello everyone! I am a native Japanese speaker and I have been teaching Japanese more than 10 years as a private tutor in Tokyo.
Before I have taught Japanese to large group's students in a language school of Tokyo and I have worked in South America for 2 years as a volunteer teacher.
I like to tailor lessons for various students needs through fresh topics and materials.
I'm looking forward to speaking with you about many topics in Japanese!
*420h Japanese teaching course
*Japanese Language teaching Competency Test (2001)
*Japanese teacher's license for elementary school (in Japan)
*Experienced in a Language school for 3 years.
I usually use my own materials which are selected grammars from several textbooks like [Genki][Minna no nihongo][Japanese for busy people]. We practice to make short sentences and built a conversation using new grammar.
I always try to have an interactive lesson, so you will be able to learn new things naturally through conversation besides textbook’s vocabulary.
When you are an intermediate and advanced level student, please let me know more details of your purpose, like Business, research and JLPT, etc.. Then I can arrange textbooks appropriately.
Another helpful class; this time Mari-sensei built my confidence by having drilled me in question and answer in a uniform sentence structure. She uses varying techniques each class, which makes the lessons more fun and useful.
Another great lesson with Mari-sensei which moved at the right pace: not so slow to be purely review, but not to fast to discourage me! And helpful hints to avoid sounding like a nerd.
Mari-sensei's feedback was useful, and the second lesson flowed from the first lesson in a way that made sense. I enjoyed it so much that I was surprised how short a time the session seemed to last.
Mari is a professional and fun teacher. I'd been apprehensive, expecting a test, but I enjoyed the lesson and learned a lot because she kept it moving.
