Hello, I'm Haylee - a friendly and inspired English teacher, originally from South Africa.

Teaching is not something I just happen to be doing, but rather it is what I am passionate about, inspired by and devoted to. It is very much connected to my other passions in life, namely writing and performing poetry, reading novels, theatre, travel, creating art and studying human behaviour and psychology.

I am an extremely dedicated person and I put one hundred percent into the activities and jobs I do in life. I feel that my bubbly, inquisitive, inspired and open-minded personality is well suited to teaching English and time again I see that my students benefit from my classes. I have a Bachelor of Arts in English and Drama, as well as a Tesol certification.

I have taught English in England, South Africa, India and Thailand. I am currently living and teaching in Thailand. My current position is a University in Thailand and allows me the flexibility to teach both on campus and also here online.

I have taught all levels and ages, from beginners and young learners to advanced and adult learners. I have taught at language schools, corporate companies and high schools. Please do not hesitate to contact me for more information.

I love supporting my students as they learn and gain confidence with the English language. I've been teaching English all over the world for the last 5 years, constantly developing my skills. I am able to assist all learners, no matter what level they are at. Most of the work we will do together will be conversational, practising speaking and listening. In addition, I will help you with grammar and identifying and correcting your common errors. I'm also able to assist with writing skills and proof-reading.

Each lesson will be personalised, so that your individual needs are met. You will have access to a database of all the material used in your lessons. You will also be given additional material for self-study purposes, as well as individualised lists of common errors and corrections from our lessons. Using my thorough, yet relaxed approach you will start to notice and change your bad speaking habits, so that your speech becomes more and more fluent.

What I have noticed is that learning English is not only about learning a new language, but it's about sharing different perspectives on life. I aim to make my lessons engaging, entertaining and creative, so that learning English is not a tiresome activity but a fun and inspiring way of learning about the world and each other.

When it comes to lessons with kids, I make sure to create a playful and cheerful atmosphere, where we use our bodies and our immediate environment to learn new words and expressions. Why not start developing your child's English skills at an early age by giving them lessons as well?
