Hi and thanks for looking at my profile!
I am a general English teacher at a language school in Bournemouth, England and I have had, in total, 8 years of teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. I have taught all levels from Beginner to Advanced, in addition to tuition for IELTS and FCE. I focus on all areas of English language, including grammar, speaking and pronunciation, so whatever your language needs are, I will be able to help you!
My interests are very broad, from travelling and exploring new countries and cultures to taking photographs, good food, reading and photography. I love all kinds of music, from jazz to rock, and I am currently learning to play the saxophone!
In addition to my Cambridge TEFL (CELTA) qualification which I gained in 2005, I have a degree and a qualification to teach in Further Education. I have experience in teaching all kinds of learners including children, secondary school pupils and adults, both in one-on-one situations and in groups.
My degree is in Fine Art and Photography, and I have worked at Bournemouth Adult Learning, where I taught digital photography, and have also run art and photography groups and workshops for adults and children as well as providing one-to-one tuition in these subjects. I also teach beginner's violin to children at an orchestra on a weekly basis.
I have a friendly, patient and flexible approach with all learners. My main aim is to help you achieve your goals and so the first thing we do is discuss what you would like to achieve and in what time frame. This could be practising your speaking skills to improve fluency, or focusing on grammar, or a combination of things. I encompass a wide range of subjects into my students' lessons, making them interesting and varied.
Whatever your goals are, I will tailor your lessons to fit to your needs, and most importantly make them interesting, fun and interactive!
