Hello,

My name is Emanuela and I have been teaching Italian privately for more than twenty years.

I had my first teaching experience when I was an Erasmus student in Barcelona. I choose to teach Italian because I have an uncontrollable passion for literature and fine art and in teaching I find the way to convey the musicality, the beauty, the colour and the scent of this language.

Although I am meticulous, I have a lot of patience and a quick sense of humor, which often help my students not to take themselves too seriously and they end up learning almost without realizing it.

I live in Porto Recanati, a small town by the sea, not far from Ancona.

I have a degree in Modern Literature and I have studied Linguistics and Phonetics, English Language and Literature, Spanish and German.

For many years I have been a proofread, and I have edited thesis, literary texts and translations.

For three years I have cooperated with a private language school where I taught Italian to foreigners. I am currently studying to obtain the first level Ditals certificate.

While teaching I have understood the importance of verbal communication, so I mainly use the direct method and drilling techniques, encouraging the student to produce sentences in Italian. I carefully prepare the lessons according to the level of the student their needs and interests, highlighting Italian grammar and syntax.

In my opinion, learning and teaching are two sides of the same challenge, so as to establish a new vision of the world: the pleasure of meeting people is always exciting and I find myself enriched every time.

mi chiamo Emanuela e insegno italiano privatamente da più di ventanni.

Le prime esperienze di insegnamento le ho avute quando ero studentessa Erasmus a Barcellona. Sono diventata un’insegnante d’italiano perché ho una passione irrefrenabile per la letteratura e l’arte e mi piace trasmettere attraverso l’insegnamento la musicalità, la bellezza, il colore ed il profumo di questa lingua.

Sono una precisina maledetta, purtroppo non posso fare a meno di correggere all’infinito! Ho molta pazienza e molto senso dell’umorismo, e queste due caratteristiche aiutano spesso i miei studenti a non prendersi troppo sul serio e ad imparare quasi senza accorgersene.

Vivo in una piccola città a 200 metri dal mare, Porto Recanati, non molto distante da Ancona.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Sono laureata in Lettere Moderne e all’università ho studiato anche Glottologia e Fonetica, Lingua e letteratura inglese, spagnola e tedesca.

Per molti anni mi sono occupata di correzione di riviste scientifiche e letterarie, correzione di tesi di laurea, testi letterari e traduzioni. Da tre anni collaboro con una scuola privata di lingue in cui insegno italiano durante il periodo estivo a persone che provengono da ogni parte del mondo.

Attualmente sto studiando per ottenere il certificato Ditals di primo livello.

TEACHING APPROACH

Durante le mie lezioni ho compreso l’importanza della comunicazione verbale, pertanto uso principalmente il metodo diretto e le tecniche di drilling, incoraggiando da subito lo studente alla produzione di frasi in lingua italiana. Preparo accuratamente le lezioni in base al livello dello studente e sono attenta alle sue esigenze e ai suoi interessi, ma non trascuro mai le spiegazioni che riguardano la grammatica e la sintassi italiane.

Per me, imparare ed insegnare sono le due facce di una stessa sfida, quella di fondare una nuova visione del mondo: il piacere di conoscere una persona nuova è sempre entusiasmante e mi arricchisce ogni volta.
