About me - English
Greetings new language learners. My name is Jackie I'm a semi retired university professor with a keen interest in helping others learn English.
I consider myself a citizen of the world, having travelled to over 40 countries and living and teaching on four continents; Europe, Asia, North America and South America. My education credentials include BSc in Secondary Education, MSc in Business Education, Tesol Certificate and CELTA certificate.
I thrive in a multicultural environment and consider myself a cultural learner not a cultural critic. My experience teaching English in Korea, Qatar, Slovakia and Ecuador include all levels, from beginner to advanced writing classes. I also have one year experience teaching pronunciation to new Canadian immigrants.
Let me help you achieve your language goals. I speak a reasonable amount of French and have beginner level of Spanish.

Teaching Approach
The teaching approach will be tailored to the needs of individual students.
If you need basic conversation skills to travel to a new foreign land then conversation and general phrases are what you need. if you are a business person who is struggling with oral and written communication then we would concentrate on things like effective meetings and emails.
Also I am keenly aware that students have their own learning style preferences, depending on their previous language acquisition attempts. The lesson will be a based on your needs and will be a collaboration between the two of us.
