Hello! My name is Rose, I am from the UK and am a native-speaker of British English.

I have been a professional teacher and lecturer for over 17 years, during which I have lectured at both UK and Bulgarian universities in the subjects of English and Computer Science. I have also been teaching online for the same amount of time, starting out with small-scale university projects, moving on to Moodle and Blackboard and finally using Skype to teach English. As you can see, this has given me plenty of experience at designing and teaching courses to students from all over the world, both face-to-face and online.

My qualifications not only include UK qualified teacher status and CELTA (qualified to teach English as a Foreign Language), but I also have a Masters degree in Online and Distance Education which I gained from the Open University by learning online myself. This has given me a unique perspective on how to learn and teach online, and I was extremely proud to receive the UK Higher Education Academy's 2007 Teaching Award for my developments in education over the Internet.
