Hi! I'm Sara. I live in Japan at the moment but I am from the United States.

My hobbies include reading, watching TV dramas (I'm currently watching a few!) and travelling. I recently travelled to Bali and Australia, and they were so much fun! I enjoy checking out new restaurants as well. Studying language is another hobby of mine. I have been a learner of Japanese on and off since I was 14! I love the challenge and rewards that come with learning languages. Likewise, I love to teach!

I have been teaching English since 2007 and I have experience teaching children, middle and high school students, university students, working professionals, retired individuals, and many more people from all stages of life! I've taught English in Japan, Singapore, and the US. I believe in creating a comfortable and enjoyable space for learning English. Active learning is my goal - the more a learner can communicate actively, the more he or she will be able to use English out in the real world, which is always a main objective. Transferrable communicative skills are always focused on. Using humor is a great way to get active!

First we will get to know each other and I will learn about your language goals. We will make a plan together. In the following lessons, depending on what you need as a learner, we will study and practice English using worksheets, texts, games, role-plays, and media.
