My name is Kevin Del Pilar and I'm a Spanish teacher. I've a major degree in Communication with specialization in Literature. So why teaching Spanish, you may ask, well: I do believe that language is like a journey and I defend this because I'm still a student of other languages. I recognize that even if you're a native you may never know all the scope and deepness of your language. Therefore, I've a debt with my own tongue. She has given me so much: expressions, reasons, motives, time, experiences, smiles, secrets and an infinity of memories.
So if you're looking into learning Spanish you may ask first: What are my real reasons to begin this journey? From that point on you'll find the right path to follow. Glad if I can help you.
I gave Spanish lessons in my social service from 2013 to 2015. In this case, my students were kids from elementary school and elders with special needs because of their social limits. Also I'm part of the Google Translation Community.
I've a deep knowledge in writing and reading skills due to my specialization in Literature. I also speak Portuguese and French.
I've just received my DELF B2 Certificate. Also I've a CELPE BRAS Intérmediario (the Portuguese certificate).
I'm an active writer and reader.
Likewise I'm a pianist, thereupon my absolute necessity for a fluid transmission of knowledge. I understand the complexity in learning something that seems tough.
Active: Videos, Songs, Short stories. From the beginning I'd like to define the reason for studying a language: Is this for a travel? You would like only to read? Is this just to speak with someone? Have you any plans for living into a Spanish-speaking country? With those facts in mind, I lay out the objectives for each student.
I offer support via email and response within 24 hours. Besides I'll share videos where are explained the main topics and their frequent questions. The home activities shouldn't take you more than 20 minutes. Additionally, one of my mains concerns is that students understand the use of grammar in urban talk.
Each student has his own pace, thus after the first session where I collect the necessary information: knowledge of the language, reasons for studying, abilities and compromise of the student; I give them my syllabus according to the necessities perceived.
Overall I'll be delighted in clarifying any doubts whatsoever.
