I am an experienced TEFL certified ESL teacher. I started my teaching career after graduating from university. I moved to Prague and taught English for three years. I had a diverse range of students; Most of my students were one-to-one ESL lessons in international and local companies in Prague. I also taught FCE and CAE certification group classes and I taught in a public primary preschool and elementary school in Prague.

I enjoy teaching and being able to bring effective language instruction to my students. I've learned how to efficiently plan and develop lessons based on a personal approach to teaching. I call it a road map, and it's a personalized set of goals and ESL objectives that I work hard to help you accomplish. For each student, I believe in developing a personalized lesson plans based on level of English, personality, and personal objectives.

Managed and taught a diverse range of one-to-one ESL client in International Business such as Deloitte, Samsung, GE Aviation, and Novartis and taught a client in the Czech Financial Ministry.

Taught ESL lessons in 20+ International and Czech companies. Designed and created a teaching resource packet for new teachers containing strategies, lesson plans, and activities for various levels of English education. Received positive feedback from both Caledonian observers and from students on my work ethic, attitude, and effectiveness for ESL lessons.

I believe in a personalized approach to ESL learning. No student necessarily has the same motivations, learning style, and goals as other students. With new students, I always begin my lessons with a conversation about learning objectives and what the student hopes to accomplish in half a year into the future, and what the student hopes to accomplish in a year. From there I develop a plan for each lesson and use a combination of conversation activities as well as speaking, worksheet, and grammar writing activities.

I like to be efficient, and accomplish as much as possible in one lesson. I then leave it up to the student to do a little practice and homework outside of class to prepare for the next lesson. Within the typical length of a semester, or about five months, I guarantee you will see big improvement with your English speaking ability.
