I'm a dedicated English teacher with a fascination for languages and language learning in general.

I speak fluent Spanish, and have a good level of Portuguese!

I'm an avid traveller, I have lived in Argentina, Colombia, Spain, and right now I live by the beach in Brazil.

I absolutely love new adventures and sharing stories with my students. I studied literature, history and culture of the Americas at university, so I'm really interested in reading about and discovering the culture of this part of the world.

When I'm not working hard on my teaching career, I'm looking for stories to record and publish as part of a podcast series I'm currently working on.

I have been teaching English for three years now, mostly with Latin American students in Colombia and Brazil, as well as in Spain.

I've worked with people from all walks of life, from perfecting the English of boardroom executives in multinational companies, helping them to perform better in their meetings and presentations, to helping waiters in restaurants, who had no previous English experience, on beaches in the Caribbean. I've taught dentists, receptionists, nurses, accountants, and lawyers, so I'm ready for just about any situation.

My qualifications:

- CELTA certificate, International House, London.

- BA Comparative American Studies , University of Warwick.

I was also responsible for my own English school in Colombia, where I wrote the whole curriculum from levels A1-C1, researching and creating a new methodology, and writing 8 coursebooks for use by our business English students.

Additionally, I have good knowledge of the TOEFL and IELTS exams, should it be necessary.

The biggest problem that my students have had in the past, is that they've been learning for years and years, but hit a point where they stop improving. To get past this point, we have to connect our natural interests with the language. What are your passions in life? Let's use them! If you love poetry, for example, then my goal is to find great poets in English, and help you study the real-life English that these poets use. Love surfing? Then we'll watch surfing videos, listening carefully to the expressions and grammar to understand them perfectly.

Most importantly: You will be able to SPEAK English, as all of our classes will be conversational, always in English.

My goal in teaching is to make my students fluent in the areas that are necessary for them. Its impossible to be fluent in the entirety of a language, so the idea is to become fluent in many different aspects!

First we have to be fluent in the language of 'introductions', then fluent when talking about our personal lives, our family, our education, and so on.

For me, English perhaps the most accessible language in world, so I think its absolutely essential to use real world resources to learn the language, and have a deep level of immersion in order to become fluent. Learning should be simple and fun, so let's make it that way!

Soy profesor de inglés dedicado, y me fascinan los idiomas y el proceso de aprendizaje en general.

Hablo el español fluidamente y tengo un buen nivel de portugués también. En caso de dudas muy grandes siempre podemos hacer una pequeña traducción.

Soy viajero ávido, he vivido en Argentina, Colombia, España, y en este momento me encuentro en Brasil al lado de la playa.

Me encantan las nuevas aventuras y compartir historias con mis estudiantes. Estudié literature, historia, y cultura de las américas en la universidad, así que me interesa mucho leer y descubrir las culturas de esta parte del mundo.

Cuando no estoy trabajando en mi carrera como profesor, busco historias para grabar y publicar como para de una serie de podcasts en que estoy trabajando.

Llevo tres años enseñando inglés, la mayoría del tiempo con estudiantes de Sur América, en Colombia y Brasil, y también en España.

He trabajado con personas de todos los ámbitos de la vida, desde perfeccionando el inglés de ejecutivos en empresas multinacionales, anudándoles sobresalir en reuniones y presentaciones, a ayudando a meseros en restaurante quienes no tenían ninguna experiencia del inglés, en playas del caribe. He enseñado dentistas, recepcionistas, enfermeras, contadores, y abogados. Así que estoy listo para cualquier situación que puedas tener!.

En adición, tengo buen conocimiento de los exámenes TOEFL y IELTS, por si sea necesario :)

El problema más grande que tienen mis estudiantes antes de trabajar conmigo, es que han estudiado por mucho tiempo, pero llegan un punto donde ya no mejoran más. Mi trabajo es ayudarte a superar eso. Para lograrlo, tenemos que trabajar usando tus intereses reales. Cuales son tus pasiones en la vida? Usamos-las! Si te encanta la poesía, por ejemplo, te voy a encontrar los grandes poetas del inglés y ayudarte a estudiar el inglés REAL que ellos usan. Te encanta el surf? Vemos vídeos, escuchamos atentamente a las expresiones y gramática para entenderlos perfectamente.

Y lo más importante: vamos a HABLAR el inglés. Nuestras clases serán conversacionales, en el idioma.

Para mí, el inglés es quizás el idioma más accesible del mundo, así que usamos los recursos reales y naturales que ya existen, para entender el inglés como se us realmente de día a día. Así logramos un nivel profundo de inmersión y nos hacemos fluidos. Aprender debería ser simple y divertido! Lo vamos a hacer así.
