About me - English
I'm Emanuela and I'm Italian, born and raised in Varese. I moved in Memphis two years ago and I'm very excited to share my language and tradition here in the USA!
In college I acquired my Master's degree in Italian Language and Literature from the University of Milan. I have previously tutored Italian for young students ranging in age from elementary school to adults! I'm outgoing and enthusiastic to share everything about my language, culture and traditions!
Qualifications & Experience
I graduated in Italian Language and Literature from the “Università degli Studi di Milano” (Italy) in 2003. In 2004 I started teaching Italian to non-native speakers (children, teenagers and adults) in Italy.
I worked as Italian tutor in some private and public schools in Italy. I worked with foreign students enrolled in the Italian school. This work was very useful for me because I learned to improve my capacity to teach and my desire to meet new people and their culture. I improved my capacity to understand the people and their difficulties to learn a new language and to transform the difficulty in resources.
Since 2015, I started teaching Italian in the United States as a private tutor.
Teaching Approach
I encourage students to contact me and ask questions. My time is flexible and I can make time to talk further about how I can help them make their tutoring experience successful. My goal is to help all of my students reach their maximum potential in an engaging, fun, and relaxed atmosphere.
