About me - English
I am twenty-two years old and have enjoyed teaching others for as long as I remember. I believe that it is my extreme sense of patience that helps me as a teacher and makes me stand out.
I love teaching English learners because they are passionate and willing to put forth the hard work. I consider myself as an adventurous person, being outdoors and music is what I love the most. Therefore, I like to keep my lessons interesting for my students. I do not want them to feel like they are in a classroom; I want them to feel like they are learning language in a natural way.
Qualifications & Experience
I am a native, English speaker and a professional English teacher. I successfully completed a 180-hour QCF Level 5 TESOL training course. I designed and taught English classes to students at Beginner (A1) Elementary (A2), Intermediate (B1) Upper-Intermediate (B2) levels and Advanced (C1) levels.
I also have worked privately with Business English students- increasing their language fluency, pronunciation, and accuracy. I graduated from Purdue University, US with a B.A. in Education. I was a classroom teacher but now focus more on private or small- group lessons. I taught third grade for a year in the United States and taught kindergarten for half of an academic school year. I was a volunteer tutor for six years before becoming a teacher. I was TESOL certified in August 2016 and now use those skills to teach General and Business English to teenagers and adults. My teaching experience ranges from children to adults in all levels.
Teaching Approach
I am a teacher who believes in using the communicative approach. I need hard-working students who are willing to speak and communicate with me as their teacher. To get that level, I understand that I need to create an environment where the student feels safe and is able to make mistakes without any embarrassment. I like to create motivating lessons that keep the student engaged and wanting to learn. I teach my students the grammar and fluency techniques in addition to English speaking culture. I create fun and effective English lesson plans. I help with tutoring and tend to my students' needs and wishes.
My main priority is to help you learn English in an engaging and meaningful way.
