Good day! My name is Natalie, an English and Spanish instructor at Berlitz China. I am currently based in Shanghai, China where I have been teaching for the past 3 years, and prior to this I was teaching in Singapore also for the same company.

Due to my current work, I have quite a bit of knowledge in the industries of medicine, pharmaceuticals, chemical, banking/finance, manufacturing and production. Most of my clients pertain to those industries and I've learned quite a bit about each of those industries due to training at their facilities and teaching them privately.

Personally, I have a deep interest in nutrition, cultural foods, natural medicine. I love traveling and emerging myself into the culture and nothing is more cultural than traditional foods!

I am currently an English and Spanish instructor at Berlitz Shanghai for more than 2 and a half years. I've also taught in Singapore for one year with this company as well. Berlitz mainly focuses on business English training, whether one-on-one or group training courses, for large multi national corporations based overseas. However, I also cater for teaching private clients of all ages.

I have experience teaching students of a wide variety of ages, ranging from 4 to 72 years of age! I have also taught a wide range of nationalities from Islamic to the predominant Asian clientele. Most of my student section are Japanese which require a specific method of teaching, but I also teach many Chinese clients who require a completely different set of teaching methods and the same goes for my Latino and European clients. I teach a wide variety of subjects with all of them such as grammar/vocabulary focus, presentation skills, cultural awareness, email and business writing and even academic essay writing for my younger clients.

Learning a language can be difficult and intimidating at times. I've learned that myself when I began learning Chinese, which is a language far beyond my comfort zone. I empathise deeply with all of my clients, which is why I always provide a safe and comfortable environment for my students to learn. When they are relaxed, learning becomes a cinch!

I like to assess my students first and foremost to get a feel of their existing knowledge with the target language, experience and/or exposure with the target language, nationality and purpose for learning the language. This helps me to cater to the clients needs much better and target their learning to what they need most.
