BA English Literature - Lancaster University
CerTESOL International Training Network - Bournemouth
Teaching English in Universities, colleges and Schools since 1997 to a variety of students from beginner to Advanced.
Experience of preparing students for different exams including Cambridge suite and IELTS
Experience of teaching English for Academic purposes.
I have taught small and large groups and have lots of experience teaching one-to-one
I have a friendly communicative approach to teaching. My aim is to make the student feel comfortable and confident to use the language that they have (or have just learnt) and to build up vocabulary and grammar gradually in small natural steps. I encourage students to read stories (at their level) read or watch the news or watch videos which leads to fun engaging teaching. This way the language is remembered quickly and it is ready for the student to use in real life situations immediately. My students are consistently happy with my teaching. Why not give it a try!
Alan is a well-prepared teacher! It was a nice class.
He is a good teacher, tries to help as much as he can. It´s easy to speak with him. And he listens to what I have to say, which is good because he include you in the process. and you exchange both knowledge and experience.
Today we work on grammar and I think that I have started to understand perfect and continues aspects of times better.
Thanks for another well prepared lesson.
