Welcome to my page! I am a PhD student with 5 years experience teaching English (as a first and as a second language) and French up to GCSE level.
I am a focused, friendly and passionate teacher, with a genuine love for my subjects. While I enjoy teaching any aspect of French or English, I am especially interested in creative writing.
I am fully fluent in both English, my mother tongue, and French, which I studied at University College London, and for which I was awarded a first-class honours degree. After finishing my undergraduate degree, I moved to Gujarat, India, where I taught French and English for four years, while simultaneously completing my Masters degree in Sociolinguistics and Pedagogy.
Phd in Applied Linguistics- University College London, ongoing
Masters in Language Science (specialising in Sociolinguistics and Pedagogy) (Mention Très Bien/Distinction)- Université Paul Valéry Montpellier III, 2013
BA French (First Class Degree with Distinction in Spoken French)- University College London, 2018
I am a strong supporter of learner-centred approaches, which means that my lessons are planned and focused around the learner's needs and capacities. I prefer communicational and action-based approaches, so that students can learn the language in a more hands-on, "real" setting.
