Hi!

Welcome and thank you for viewing my profile. I was born in South Africa and my mother tongue is English, I am currently visiting Canada. I adore travelling, great food and fantastic music. I love teaching English and I am extremely interested in languages, communication and different cultures.

I have a TEFL qualification from the International English School in Somerset West.

I have many years of teaching experience both one on one and in classes (and for the last few years online!). I teach children and adults, from beginners to advanced. Besides teaching English as a foreign language, I teach singing and theatre.

I also have experience in LEARNING a foreign language, so I understand the needs and challenges of foreign language students.

My teaching approach is friendly and patient, and I aim at keeping lessons positive and constructive. I really enjoy the challenge of offering my students a great opportunity to practise their conversation skills, I will always point out where you can improve - without disturbing your flow.

I build on your strengths and identify weaknesses and correct them using controlled exercises, then more free exercises. Because of my musical background pronunciation and conversation are emphasized, however, understanding, reading and grammar are all covered in my lessons.
