About me - English
🌏 I am a certified Japanese teacher with more than 5 years of teaching experience and have taught over 4,000 lessons both online and in person.
🌏 Having visited more than 60 countries for both business and leisure, I enjoy communicating with people from many different cultural backgrounds. I still occasionally participate in international exchange events.
🌏 As a licensed tour guide, I have a strong interest in Japanese geography, history, and culture. Rural Japan and traditional hot springs are among my greatest interests.
These experiences have taught me the importance of speaking clearly and at a comfortable pace when communicating with non-native speakers.

I also worked in restaurants and hotels for many years, which helps me teach practical Japanese for hospitality and customer service settings.

Teaching Approach
🎯 Complete Beginners
I can teach Japanese from scratch in English, including the writing systems, greetings, numbers, and useful survival expressions. Travel-focused lessons over 2 or 3 sessions are also available. After that, we can gradually move on to beginner textbooks such as GENKI.
🎯 Intermediate Learners
I offer conversation practice on a variety of topics while helping students improve their vocabulary and grammar. We can also use easy Japanese news articles and graded readers.
🎯 Advanced Learners
Lessons can include news discussions, presentations, advanced writing, pronunciation improvement, honorific language, role-play, interview practice, and JLPT N1/N2 preparation.
