About me - English
My name is Alberto, from Milan in northern Italy and live and travel around the world as digital nomad and expat.
Teaching Italian for me is a way to showcase my native country to Italian learners as well as to keep in touch with my own culture
Reviews from my past students say I am patient, friendly, clear, open-minded and that I can find well-suited examples for my explanations.
Having a higher education background in both linguistics and social anthropology allows me to convey to students not only how to say expressions in Italian language, but also what they mean to local people on the territory.

Teaching Approach
My approach and the resources I use - books, audios, videos, music - vary depending on the student’s needs. My education background as social anthropologist, allows me to take into account the student’s own point of view while introducing Italian not only as a mere language but also as a living expression of Italian culture.
Through a communicative approach, I will encourage the student to take an active role in the lessons by exploring the language through curiosity, by asking questions and finding patterns and contradictions. As a polyglot that speaks 7 languages, I will use associations, key words as well as similarities and differences with other languages in order to anchor the learning process. I have a special experience with challenges and opportunities for both Russian and Spanish speakers.
