Hey you, Portuguese learner! My name is Nelson, from Portugal, currently 29 years old.
During my adventures through this world I discovered my passion for teaching. I have become a yoga teacher in 2022 and teach Magic (Sleight of Hand) to whoever wants to learn it. Been teaching Portuguese to friends and I am having loads of fun with it. Really looking forward to share this passion with you and help on your linguistic journey!
Qualifications & Experience
Completed highschool in Natural Sciences. Starting my bachelor in Biology. Yoga Teacher Training 2022.
Teaching Approach
The best way I can teach you it's through practice, practice, practice all with a good dose of fun, because it is also how I learn the best.
I like to turn the practice to things that matter to students. I believe conversation helps a lot, but not all the students are hearing learners, so I like to adapt and find what's the best for you. I advocate for setting goals, aims and specific priorities because they keep the motivation and steeper learning curve. The practice continues out of class, so expect some homework ,)

Concluí o ensino secundário na área de Ciência e Tecnologia. Estou a iniciar a minha licenciatura em Biologia. Formação de Professor de Ioga em 2022.

A melhor forma de te ensinar é através de prática, prática, práctica com diversão, porque é também assim que eu aprendo melhor.
Gosto de orientar a aula para assuntos que são importantes para os alunos. Acredito que conversação ajuda muito, mas nem todos os alunos aprendem melhor ouvindo, por isso gosto de me adaptar e descobrir o que é melhor para ti. Sou apologista de definir objetivos, metas e prioridades específicas, porque mantêm a motivação e aumentam a curva de aprendizagem. A prática continua fora da aula, por isso espera trabalhos de casa ,)
