Buenos días! I am originally from Bolivia, and have been living in the United States for about 25 years. I enjoy teaching Spanish at the beginning level, because that allows me to see progress in the language. I have had some students who have been learning and not just using conversational Spanish, for years. They are dear friends to me now.
I can tutor students who just need one class to catch up with material covered in class to make it more comprehensible, or in a regular basis through the semester or year.
I can teach grammar and make it easy to apply to real situations. Starting with the first lesson, students will be learning something new. I can teach 15 lessons of basic grammar, from there, I go very conversational, and repetitive.
We repeat a lot what we have already covered, because students have to feel confident of what they hear and how they answer.
Qualifications & Experience
- Tutoring one lesson at a time as required by school or college.
- Teaching online for more than 15 years, at all levels.
- Currently, Beginning High School Spanish Teacher: Spanish 1 and 2.
- Able to teach grammar like few teachers can.
- I really prefer to teach the basics of Spanish and then let you pick another instructor to get a different accent and material, if your commitment is to learn Spanish for
Communication, travel or work.
Teaching Approach
I am a very interactive teacher. Usually I start where the student is by assessing current knowledge. I will try my best to explain grammar so students can complete on their own any assignments they might have in class. I will also accommodate my teaching to the needs of my students.
