It was a first lesson, which is usually difficult with a new student because it's always necessary for the teacher to assess the student's level, needs, preferences, etc. However, Marta was awesome! Her grammar explanations are very clear

About me - English
I am an enthusiastic Swedish teacher and I'm passionate about my job.
I teach with passion to young people and adults. I am the author of 2 big platforms to learn Swedish Online. I create content - essays, articles and tests/tasks myself. I am the author of videos - Swedish for Beginners available on YouTube ( the same included in my profile).
I like people so it is a pleasure to work with them as a teacher.
I have been teaching Swedish for almost 5 years. During this time I have been working for international companies as a Swedish tutor (eg. Medtronic and Bank Ikano - the bank of Ikea). Moreover I have been working with a number of students and helping them to develop their language skills effectively. A great number of my clients (students) are doctors and IT specialists.
Qualifications & Experience
I have been learning Swedish for 12 years. I have started on my own and then studied Swedish language at High School in Warsaw.
During my studies I moved to Sweden and studied at Uppsala Universitet. There I passed my B2 exam and received 90%. I completed my masters degree on the topic " Welfare State in Scandinavian countries". My master thesis was written in Swedish and English. It was in 2009 when I started my first Skype classes.
Teaching Approach
Because each student is different - has a different personality and different needs - I adjust my teaching method individually to each student / each group. However, I always pay attention on effective communication and pronunciation which are the most important language skills. I encourage students to discuss topics - even if they are beginners, there is always something to be discussed ( who I am, my hobby or opinion on global warming). I prepare dedicated materials for each person / group.
People who start - need enormous attention. They need to be encouraged. I try to show them that the Swedish language is very easy and that they are able to learn. I provoke discussion and send materials via email and links to videos. I am available and ready to help.
