Qualifications & Experience
I completed my BA in English Language and Literature and did my master's degree both in English Cultural Studies and Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) with the Fulbright Scholarship.
I have been teaching Turkish for 6 years to adults and young learners and since 2011, I also have been giving online Turkish lessons via Verbalplanet.
In Turkey, I worked as an English trainer at various universities for 8 years and now I'm also working as a freelance English trainer at different institutions in Amsterdam.

As a trainer, I believe in student-centered and communicative teaching. For this reason, I always strive to raise my students’ awareness of their own learning and of themselves as learners and help them to realize their full potential.
One of my aims is to create a safe and welcoming atmosphere for my students by taking their individual differences into account and to encourage and support them whenever they need. That's why I always adapt my teaching style to suit my students’ needs and give clear explanations, using concrete and authentic examples and situations.
