Merci, Julien! I enjoyed the lesson very much. The conversation was challenging in the best way. My brain got a good workout, and I left the lesson feeling encouraged. À bientôt!

Julien is very encouraging. I was able to practice my oral French and learn new words, both of which were very helpful.

About me - English

I love languages, and I can think of no better way to learn them than on the spot, or in cyberspace!

I have traveled and lived in quite a few countries already (the United Kingdom, the United States, China, Italy, Belgium, Portugal, French Guyana...), and there I met very different personalities and cultures which helped turn me into a citizen of the world! And thanks to the Internet, the potential for discovering new people is now limitless...

Qualifications & Experience

Degrees:

HSK (Mandarin) level 6, 2013: Qingdao, China

TEFL certified, 2010: i-to-i (on-line certification)

English Agregation, 2002: Lyon, France (Université Lyon II)

Master in English, 2001: Chambéry, France (Université de Savoie)

Bachelor in French Literature, 1997: Chambéry, France (Université de Savoie)

Professional Experience :

I was an English Teacher within the French Education System for 7 years, in both high schools and middle high schools.

I was also a French Native Speaker for 3 years in both the U.K. and the U.S.A. (for both junior high/high school students and university students).

Finally, I worked for one year for Berlitz (in Brussels) as a French Trainer (my students were all adults).

Teaching Approach

My approach is, dialogue, dialogue, dialogue! We speak, we stumble, we get back up: We progress!

I have made a fool of myself so many times while speaking a foreign language that I don't think you need to worry about making mistakes when studying with me.

I believe that what matters the most is communication, and that grammar should only be a means, not an end.

And let's have some fun, shall we? :)

Qualifications & Experience

Diplômes :

HSK (diplôme de Mandarin) niveau 6, 2013: Qingdao, Chine

TEFL (Teach English as a Foreign Language), 2010 : i-to-i (formation en ligne)

Teaching Approach
