Hello, my name is Andrey Pavlov and I'm 46 years old and currently living in Russia. I am a native Russian speaker and teach English, German, Japanese, Russian. I have taught online with since February 2013. I can speak the following languages fluently: Russian, English, German, Japanese.

Detailed Profile in English

About me

I am Russian and speak Russian, English, German and Japanese.

I like foreign languages and also enjoy teaching them. I graduated from a technical university and after 6 years I graduated from a linguistic university. My technical education background enables me to apply various mathematical approaches, to speak and teach foreign languages.

I am also very interested in the psychology of learning and, I think, I have developed a few learning strategies which have proved to be very effective.

Qualifications & Experience

I have 16 -year working experience in teaching foreign languages. I also write language learning mobile apps.

Teaching Approach

I concentrate primirely on the structure of the language and reading texts (with full understanding ) . Conversation fluency comes almost automaticaly if students follow certain guidelines. Just knowing very simple rules makes it possible to build your own sentences correctly, hence making communication possible. As for vocabulary... all one needs is a good dictionary (there are many good on-line dictionaries available in the internet). Of course, I sent files (in pdf- format) with common words which students would use to practice making they own centences. I use different kinds of exercises to get the new structures and words into long- term memory. I have written many language learning mobile apps which we can use during the lessons. I try to make my lessons useful, which also depends on the personality and learning style of students. Various textbooks might also be very useful. I will recommend a few ones.

Absolute beginners start off making very easy sentences. Once they are able to do it, they begin to make the sentences more complicated.

For example:

1. They read.

2. They read books.

3. They read books every day.

4. They read interesting books every day.

5. They read interesting books every day when they come from work.

6. They read interesting books every day when they come from work unless they are tired.

7. They read interesting books every day when they come from work unless they are very tired.

(Of course, these sentences will be in the language which students are learning :) )

I also make printouts which guide students to speak about particular topics. Following these guidelines the students are able to talk about themselves, about their friends, about their jobs, what they think about a particular issue, etc.
