Hi everyone! I'm Yana, a Russian native speaker with more than 15 years of professional experience teaching English (and Russian later) as a Second Language.
I will be happy to help you with learning Russian or English! Teaching is what I really enjoy and what I can do well. :)
I used to learn several languages, so I know very well how hard learning a new language or even perfecting a language can be. I am patient and understanding, and very creative at the same time. I love language related games. I really like that feeling when you see that you or your students are doing well and making progress.
I received my bachelor’s degree in Linguistics from Novgorod State University in 2016.
Certificate CEFR C1 – Advanced level (English language school Clubclass (2013).
Teaching experience - more than 15 years.
My method depends a lot on your request and other things (like level, age, learning type). It means, I will listen to what you want to do during the lessons, because nobody knows you and your needs better than you, but you should also listen to what I suggest, because I do have experience and knowledge.
I prefer a communicative approach, plus lexical approach, plus structured approach, I include quite a lot of playful activities, and humour.)
My lessons are fun and they encourage you to speak better with correct pronunciation and grammar.)
Together step by step we overcome all the struggles in language learning.
Our lessons are flexible. That means you can choose the time, you can choose the day, you can choose how often you want to study: once a week, twice a week, every day, etc (*I recommend you to take at least two lessons a week).
I'll provide exclusive and relevant materials for you including audio and pdf files along with vocabulary, grammar, listening, reading and writing exercises. I create my own materials as well.
(Actually I have lots of materials for improving your Russian/English (both printed and online) and will be happy to share it with you).
As a rule, you're supposed to do a lot (let's say homework) between the lessons, if you want to see the progress!
