I have been a professional English Language teacher for 12 years. I have taught all levels from Beginner to Advanced, in addition to preparing students for IELTS and FCE. I focus on all areas of English language, including grammar, speaking and pronunciation, so whatever your level and language needs are, I will be able to help you.
My interests are very broad, from travelling and exploring new countries and cultures to taking photographs, good food, reading and photography. I love all kinds of music and I am currently learning to play the saxophone!
Qualifications & Experience
In addition to my Cambridge TEFL (CELTA) qualification which I gained in 2005, I have a BA (Hons) degree and a qualification to teach in Further Education. I have experience in teaching all kinds of learners including children, secondary school pupils and adults, both in one-on-one situations and in the classroom.
I have specialist experience in preparing students for Cambridge ESOL and IELTS exams and I have had a 100% success rate in preparing students to pass these exams.
Teaching Approach
I am friendly, patient and flexible with all of my learners. My main aim is to help you achieve your goals whatever they may be. The first thing we will do is discuss what you would like to achieve and in what time frame. This could be practising your speaking skills, improving fluency, focusing on grammar, or a combination of things. I use a wide range of resources and teaching methods in my lessons to ensure that they are interested, varied and suitable for all.
Whatever your goals are, I will tailor your lessons around your needs, and most importantly make them interesting, communicative and fun!
