My name is Patricia. I was born in Mexico in a multicultural border city to the United States. My native language is Spanish, I speak English fluently and am currently studying French. I studied and lived in the United States, Mexico and China. I taught for many years in both languages, English and Spanish, to children from the ages of two (in China) to adults (in Playa del Carmen, Mexico). As well, I home-schooled my children. I am a certified yoga instructor, psychologist and I enjoy teaching and wish to share this joy of languages with you.nla

I am certified as a bilingual/ESL teacher from the University of Texas at El Paso. I also have a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Education 'with emphasis in Math and Science' from UTEP. I took the Spanish Proficiency Interview and scored a 'level of 3 or above', the highest score.

I have taught in the United States, pre-kinder to fourth grades in Spanish and English. I taught 'at-risk' high school home/house students as a home/house-bound teacher. Further, I taught in El Paso Community College, Texas, English as a second language (ESL) to adults including reading, writing, listening and speaking. In Jiansu University of Science and Technology, China, I taught English conversation to engineering students. My private on-line teaching experience is extensive.

My approach is individualized according to each student's needs. I believe everyone can learn! I provide a conducive environment where students feel comfortable in experiencing the learning of a new language. I listen, ensuring a teacher-student connection, so as to make the most of every minute while making the class interesting and fun.
