I am bilingual (English and Greek) and I am a professional translator and proofreader and a teacher of English and Greek as a foreign language. I have been a teacher of English and Greek for 12 years and a translator/proofreader for 8 years.

I hold a BA (Hons) in English and Greek Language and Literature majoring in English and Greek language teaching as a second language.

As a teacher of English and Greek, I teach classes and I also give private lessons and online lessons via Skype. I have taught students of all ages (kids, teenagers and adults) and I have successfully prepared students to sit English certification exams such as ECCE, ECPE, FCE, CPE, IELTS, TOEFL, etc. I have also taught English and Greek for specific purposes (Business English, Financial English, Law, Music, Academic English, Medicine, Arts) and my students are of various backgrounds and nationalities. Some of my clients are companies like Boston Consulting, Eurobank, Pierre Fabre, Royal Canin and construction companies.

All my lessons are tailored to each student's needs and the material is also carefully prepared to meet each individual's needs. This means that no lesson is the same as another student's lesson. I generally focus on speaking and oral communication a lot with all students. Lessons are usually followed by some feedback that is usually what I feel the student needs after each lesson.

I usually upload thematic vocabulary on Quizlet which all of my students have found very useful. I also send podcasts that expose you to natural/everyday language and that you can save on your phone and listen to them on the go.

I usually design all the material for the lesson as well as the study material. There is feedback via email after each lesson.

My teaching approach is a communicative one and I focus a lot on speaking skills since the lessons are via Skype. However, I believe that no skill should be ignored while studying a foreign language. I always try so that the students learn and absorb as much information as possible during the lesson in order for them not to spend hours studying on their own.
