Hello! My name is Penelope, I am 35 years old and I am a Greek language teacher.
I live in Athens and I am a teacher since 2004. I love teaching and especially teaching the Greek language to foreigners. I know that learning Greek can be tough, but I believe that with my help it can be enjoying and easy!
I have studied Greek Philology at the University of Athens (2000-2004).
I also received a master degree in “Teaching Modern Greek as a second / foreign language” from the University of Athens (2014-2016).
I speak Greek (native speaker), English (fluently) and German (adequately).
I have worked as a teacher since 2004.
Since 2014 I have been teaching Greek as a foreign language at a private institution in Athens. I also give lessons via Skype.
During my lessons I try to combine all four aspects of language learning (reading, listening, writing and speaking). I believe that all four skills should be equally exercised in order to learn a language effectively.
However, it is often required to adjust the balance to meet each student's needs and learning profile. Proper exercises and communication activities are incorporated to facilitate an extended vocabulary.
