I am a professional and experienced Arabic teacher and a native Arabic speaker from Egypt able to teach you Modern Standard Arabic, Colloquial Egyptian Arabic, Media Arabic and Arabic for specific purposes.
I am currently a fellow student in the master's program for TAFL (Teaching Arabic as a foreign language) at the American university in Cairo. I have taught and tutored students at the AUC as part of my fellowship work. I am familiar with most of the curriculum's that are dedicated to the teaching Arabic as a foreign language. I am also the founder of Arabicglobal.com which is a website that offer free video and audio lessons for AFL students.
I've been working as an online Arabic tutor for 5 years, I teach Modern Standard Arabic and Egyptian Colloquial Arabic. I teach all levels starting from absolute beginners to advanced using different materials that can help the student a long the way, focusing on all aspects of the language conversation, listening, grammar, reading and writing.
I've taught Arabic to non native speakers from different nationalities mainly from USA, Uk, Canada, Switzerland, Russia, Norway, Brazil, Turkey, Australia, Korea, and Pakistan.
I start my lessons by finding out the student's needs and goals then I work on a plan for our course that I discuss with the student. Most of my lessons are structured. I tend to follow the communicative approach where I focus on the students' production and allowing the student to express him/herself.
I can teach all skills (together or with a specific focus on one more skill), reading, writing, speaking and listening.
Based on the student's needs we can follow a specific course book, or a follow a set of lessons I design from extra sources.
