About me - English
Hi, I am Noelia, an English and Spanish teacher from Argentina.
I have taught English for more than seven years and I started teaching Spanish 3 years ago. I had the opportunity to teach in different countries and to meet people from all over the world, which has helped me understanding the difficulties and challenges a foreigner encounters when studying a second language.
I like giving dynamic lessons, since the students who come to me need to be able to communicate, most of all, so guiding them and giving them the tools for them to communicate on their own is what I do.
I love my job, not only because it brings me close to a wide range of cultures and languages, but also because I like the idea of contributing to people understanding each other.
Qualifications & Experience
I am a Certified English-Spanish Translator (Graduated from Universidad Argentina de la Empresa), and I have a Post Graduate Certificate in Teaching both English and Spanish (from Universidad Tecnológica Nacional in Argentina)
I have worked at several schools and academies teaching English to kids, teenagers and adults since 2011. Some of these schools are:
-School of English - Moreno, Buenos Aires, Argentina
-Saint Patrick's College - Moreno, Buenos Aires, Argentina
-Costa Azul College - Villa Carlos Paz, Córdoba, Argentina
-Hartford Institute - Villa Carlos Paz, Córdoba, Argentina
-Wallace Academy - Villa Carlos Paz, Córdoba, Argentina
-Tutorial Idiomas - VIlla Carlos Paz, Córdoba, Argentina
I have also taught English in-company in the following places:
-Utalk - Buenos Aires, Argentina
-Howard Johnson Hotel - Villa Carlos Paz, Córdoba, Argentina.
Moreover, I have tutored students in Melbourne, Australia (where I have lived for one year) to sit for the IELTS, and that is where I started to teach Spanish to foreigners.
Currently, I am working as both an English and Spanish teacher. I have been teaching Spanish since 2014, and I am now working teaching Spanish online to people all over the world.
Teaching Approach
I do not have a specific method, but I like practicing full immersion with my students. The moment I start a class, I start speaking in the language I am teaching and through games, music, slides, and miming, I get them involved and let them "discover" the language on their own, because, in my opinion, that is the best way to learn.
