I am a native Czech speaker/tutor who believes that learning a foreign language should be fun and that part of all learning is making mistakes. Having worked as an English/Czech interpreter for many years, I am highly advanced in English too.
My typical lesson consists of grammar, conversation and games, but I can be very flexible, depending on your preferences.
I am a person with many interests: I play the guitar, write fiction (I've had a book published in Czech), write film scripts (a short film based on one of my scripts has been produced recently in the UK), ride my bicycle, look after my 6 guinea pigs, go horse riding etc. I sing in a choir and like to work in my allotment. I do regular volunteering for my local community. We can talk about our hobbies during our lessons, in Czech!
I hold three or four DBS certificates.
Diploma in public service interpreting, Sheffield Language Academy.
Diploma in interpreting and translation, McNeilus Language School, Prague.
2005-2008 Teacher of English as a foreign language in Prague, Czech Republic.
2008-2012 Czech/English interpreter and translator, United Kingdom.
2012-2016 Maternity leave.
2016-2018 Freelance teacher of Czech as foreign language, United Kingdom.
My typical lesson consists of grammar, conversation and games, but I can be very flexible.
The lessons must be fun!
