About me - English
I am Eleana Genovefa Karelaki and I am a native greek speaker. I have studied Greek literature at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. I am a very communicative person and I am always thrilled to get in touch with other people from different culture. My goal is to teach Greek and show the beauty of this language while demonstrating the value of our culture. I can speak English fluently and French at B2 level.
Qualifications & Experience
Hello Everyone! I have finished my studies in Greek Literature at National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. I have been teaching for 9 years to Greek high school students and currently to foreigners. I am a postgraduate student concentrating in Human Resources, a distance programme in Leicester. I have attended seminars concerning the structure of the Greek language and the teaching methods in order to improve myself and teach people in a more effective way!
I am here to help you learn the Greek language as I think it is a great experience meeting people from all over the world! I am very energetic and I am sure I will give you all the knowledge in order to achieve our goal!
Καλησπέρα! Είμαι η Ελεάνα Καρελάκη και είμαι φιλόλογος. Έχω τελειώσει φιλολογία στο Εθνικό και Καποδιστριακό Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών. Γνωρίζω άριστα αγγλικά και γαλλικά σε επίπεδο Β2. Η επαφή με ανθρώπους από διαφορετικές χώρες και με διαφορετική κουλτούρα αποτελεί μοναδική εμπειρία.

Είμαι φοιτήτρια στο Leicester ως μεταπτυχιακή φοιτήτρια. Έχω παρακολουθήσει σεμινάρια που αφορούν τη γλωσσολογία και τις μεθόδους διδασκαλίας.
Teaching Approach
Η γραμματική και το συντακτικό αποτελούν σημαντικό κομμάτι εκμάθησης της γλώσσας. Ωστόσο, για να διδαχθεί σωστά η ελληνική γλώσσα είναι ανάγκη να συνομιλώ στα ελληνικά με το μαθητή συχνά. Δίνοντας σημασία στη συνέχεια στα προφορικά, δημιουργείται ένα αίσθημα αυτοπεποίθησης στο μαθητή για τις ικανότητες του και τις γνώσεις του.
