Hello there,

My name's Karolina- I'm Polish but I've lived in the UK (Dorset) since the beginning of 2014. I'm an English philologist (don't mistake philology for philosophy- it's a completely different thing :) ). Something about me? Well, some of my hobbies include playing piano (don't think I'm some sort of a virtuoso- that's a bit far fetched. I'm more of a beginner/intermediate) and I love all things art- especially drawing. In my spare time I like to pop out to the cinema and catch up with the newest films. I love to travel- seeing new places, cultures, meeting new people and learning about their languages- that's what life is about for me. I like to consider myself a pretty friendly and open-minded person, so if you're looking for a tutor who will try to make your lessons as enjoyable and fun as possible- here I am. Each student's needs are different and before I start the lessons I like to chat to my pupils about their expectations. I believe that the programme should be customised for each of my students, depending on the level they're on currently, what motivates them to learn a new language (may it be a job requirement, a trip abroad or a new friend from a different country), how much time they are able to spend weekly learning and what they want to achieve by enrolling on my course. All of these are extremely important in customising my students' learning paths and methods and from my experience I know that a short interview beforehand is the best way to set clear goals, methods and paths.

Nazywam sie Karolina i jestem Polka mieszkajaca w Anglii od poczatku 2014 roku. W godzinach pracy jestem filolozka jezyka Angielskiego nauczajaca zarowno jezyka Angielskiego jak i Polskiego- dla obcokrajowow. Przed rozpoczeciem lekcji przeprowadzam rozmowe z kazdym uczniem aby ustalic plan nauki, ktory dostosowuje do indywidualnych potrzeb kazdego ucznia. W ustaleniu na jakich metodach czy slownictwie sie skupic z danych uczniem, najpierw ustalam jakie sa jego/jej cele, aspiracje jezykowe, jaki poziom jezykowy dany uczen chce osiagnac oraz co jest motywacja za podjeciem decyzji o podjeciu nauki jezyka.
