I am a linguist - meaning I am a language scientist! I love how our minds can comprehend and communicate with people all over the world and this is why I am an English teacher. I value international communication, openness and kindness, and seek to apply this both in my work and personal life.

I have over 5 years teaching English both online and in-person. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, with a focus on phonetics and syntax, as well as a minor in East Asian International Studies. I have also studied 2 non-native languages (Japanese and French) reaching intermediate with Japanese and beginner/conversational with French, so I understand what it is like to learn a language.

I apply my background in Linguistics to my teaching methodology, customizing each lesson to the student's needs and goals. My students find me fun, engaging and intellectually stimulating and are often surprised by their progress because learning with me is really fun!
