Hi, my name is Stefanie Verena and I am looking forward to helping you improve your German. I studied German language science, medieval German and bible languages at the Paris Lodron University of Salzburg. I took courses to be a qualified teacher for German as a foreign and second language.
After studying linguistics and German studies for a year at the University of Maribor, Slovenia, I finished my Master's Degree in literature theory at the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands. During my time as a student, I developed a deep passion for languages, so I was always keen to extend my knowledge in speaking training and the proper use of language.
Besides the certificate to teach German I also hold TEFL certificates to teach business English and prepare students for the IELTS or TOIC exam. Teaching languages is a good way to share my passion and show my students that language is so much more than just grammar and vocabulary.
Exploring foreign languages is one of my favorite leisure time activities, so I can understand the difficulties one can face while learning a new language. With the right materials and methods of learning a foreign language can be a pleasurable and rewarding experience and I will do my best to support you in your studies.
During my time at the University of Salzburg, Austria, I obtained a certificate to teach German as a foreign language and German as a second language. To receive this certificate I had to follow courses in language teaching methods and do an internship.
I used to teach German as a foreign language at the University. I taught one year at the University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands, after this one year at University of Hunan, China
I started teaching German online in 2016 and have continued doing so until today. Throughout my years of teaching, I have took part in several trainings to further deepen my knowledge about ways and methods in online didactics
During my time as an Online Teacher I am happy to say that I've obtained almost 100 % student satisfaction.
Everyone is able to learn a foreign language - just the way we do it is different for everyone. That is why I strongly encourage my students to think of their goals, their strengths, and their weaknesses.
I am always working hard to offer a personal learning plan to all my students, we all learn differently, so everyone needs a different approach.
In the first class, we will discuss your goals, your previous experiences in learning a language and then we will work together on your perfect way to learn German so you can make quick progress!
