I hold a PhD in Cultural, Language and Civilisation Studies from the University in Vienna. As a scientist I used to work at the European University in Florence, Yale University in the US, Sciences Po in Paris and Institute for Advanced Studies in Vienna. I teach German, English and Italian at different levels and by different methods for over 10 years.
My teaching approach is based on step by step methodology. If I work with a beginner I systematically and simultaneously build their vocabulary, grammar and free speech. All these three cornerstones of the language proficiency are considered in every lesson. If I work with intermediate students I first check their level and special needs before I make a personal plan for their advancement. Unlike many other professors I take students mother language into consideration because speakers of different languages often have specific problems with other languages.
