¿Qué tal? My name is Laura and I'm a qualified teacher of Spanish as a foreign language and DELE examiner from Barcelona, Spain. I am passionate about communication and languages and that is why I decided to study Journalism and to get a Master Degree as a professional Spanish teacher.

I am currently living and working in Berlin, Germany as a teacher of Spanish as a foreign language at Instituto Cervantes Berlin and another private school for adults and teenagers. I have lived in the UK for almost five years and I have studied a bunch of languages, so I am aware how is to learn a new language from scratch!

How are my lessons? First, I listen my students to understand their main motivations and goals when learning a language. Also, I briefly asses their level to identify the points we can work towards. Then we can talk together about the most suitable study plan for you (duration, topics...). Another key aspect for me when teaching Spanish is that you speak and listen the target language as much as possible during our lesson, as it is necessary to train your ear and lose the fear to speak and make mistakes. Also, I will provide you materials that will motivate you to learn, I will do a selection based on your learning needs and personal interests and I will make sure you have fun and feel motivated in each one of our lessons, as this is a key aspect when learning a new language :)

I consider myself a very communicative and dynamic teacher, empathetic and patient. I see each class with my students an opportunity to improve as a teacher, have fun and develop my talents, it is very gratifying for me to see how my students enjoy the journey of learning a new language and improve their language skills day by day.

My focus is very much communicative as well as task based. I make sure I follow a scaffolding process so the student has all the resources that will need to do the task or exercise. I work a lot on vocabulary and word combinations and I also present grammar structures in a simple, relevant way and use the translation method when necessary. I think each student is different and also their learning style, motivation, goals and interests. That is why I try to tailor as much as possible my lessons to their needs and interests. I aim to create a safe, fund and relaxed space where the student can feel free and calm to try and experiment the new language that is learning.

I adapt my correction style to each student but generally I do active listening making notes of corrections and new vocabulary and give that feedback at the end of the lesson. Last but not less important is the selection of materials: I make sure I select relevant material for each student based in their needs and interests as I know how important is this aspect when being motivated to learn a new language.

¿Qué tal? Me llamo Laura y soy profesora titulada de español como lengua extranjera y examinadora DELE de Barcelona, España. Me apasiona la comunicación y los idiomas y por eso decidí estudiar Periodismo y hacer un máster como profesora de español profesional.

Actualmente vivo en Berlín, Alemania donde trabajo como profesora de español como lengua extranjera en el Instituto Cervantes de Berlín y en otra escuela privada para adultos y adolescentes. He vivido en el Reino Unido durante casi cinco años y he estudiado varios idiomas, así que soy consciente de lo que representa aprender un nuevo idioma desde cero.

¿Cómo son mis clases? En primer lugar, escucho a mis alumnos para entender sus principales motivaciones y objetivos a la hora de aprender un idioma. Además, evalúo brevemente su nivel para identificar los puntos en los que podemos trabajar. Después, podemos hablar juntos sobre el plan de estudio más adecuado para ti (duración, temas...). Otro aspecto clave para mí a la hora de enseñar español es que hables y escuches la lengua meta lo máximo posible durante nuestra clase, ya que es necesario entrenar tu oído y perder el miedo a hablar y a equivocarte. Además, te proporcionaré materiales que te motiven a aprender, haré una selección basada en tus necesidades de aprendizaje e intereses personales y me aseguraré de que te diviertas y te sientas motivado en cada una de nuestras lecciones, ya que este es un aspecto clave a la hora de aprender un nuevo idioma :)

Me considero una profesora muy comunicativa y dinámica, empática y paciente. Veo cada clase con mis alumnos como una oportunidad para mejorar como profesora, divertirme y desarrollar mis talentos, es muy gratificante para mí ver como mis alumnos disfrutan del viaje de aprender un nuevo idioma y mejoran sus habilidades lingüísticas día a día.

Mi enfoque es tanto comunicativo como basado en tareas. Me aseguro de seguir un proceso de andamiaje para que el alumno tenga todos los recursos que necesita para realizar la tarea o el ejercicio. Trabajo mucho el vocabulario y las combinaciones de palabras y también presento las estructuras gramaticales de forma sencilla y relevante y utilizo el método de traducción cuando es necesario. Creo que cada alumno es diferente y también su estilo de aprendizaje, motivación, objetivos e intereses. Por eso intento adaptar mis clases lo máximo posible a sus necesidades e intereses. Mi objetivo es crear un espacio seguro y relajado donde el alumno pueda sentirse libre y tranquilo para probar y experimentar el nuevo idioma que está aprendiendo. Adapto mi estilo de corrección a cada alumno pero generalmente hago una escucha activa tomando notas de las correcciones y del nuevo vocabulario y doy ese feedback al final de la lección. Por último, pero no menos importante, es la selección de materiales: Me aseguro de seleccionar material relevante para cada alumno en función de sus necesidades e intereses ya que sé lo importante que es este aspecto a la hora de estar motivado para aprender un nuevo idioma.

¿Qué tal? Mein Name ist Laura und ich bin eine qualifizierte Lehrerin für Spanisch als Fremdsprache und DELE-Prüferin aus Barcelona, Spanien. Meine Leidenschaft gilt der Kommunikation und den Sprachen. Deshalb habe ich mich entschieden, Journalismus zu studieren und einen Master-Abschluss als professionelle Spanischlehrerin zu machen.

Zurzeit lebe und arbeite ich in Berlin, Deutschland, als Lehrerin für Spanisch als Fremdsprache am Instituto Cervantes Berlin und an einer anderen Privatschule für Erwachsene und Teenager. Ich habe fast fünf Jahre in Großbritannien gelebt und eine Reihe von Sprachen studiert, so dass ich weiß, wie es ist, eine neue Sprache von Grund auf zu lernen!

Wie läuft mein Unterricht ab? Zuerst höre ich meinen Schülern zu, um ihre Hauptmotivationen und Ziele beim Erlernen einer Sprache zu verstehen. Außerdem mache ich eine kurze Einschätzung ihres Niveaus, um die Punkte zu ermitteln, auf die wir hinarbeiten können. Dann können wir gemeinsam über den für Sie am besten geeigneten Lernplan sprechen (Dauer, Themen...). Ein weiterer wichtiger Aspekt beim Unterrichten von Spanisch ist für mich, dass Sie während des Unterrichts so viel wie möglich in der Zielsprache sprechen und zuhören, da dies notwendig ist, um Ihr Gehör zu trainieren und die Angst zu verlieren, zu sprechen und Fehler zu machen. Außerdem werde ich Ihnen Materialien zur Verfügung stellen, die Sie zum Lernen motivieren, ich werde eine Auswahl treffen, die auf Ihren Lernbedürfnissen und persönlichen Interessen basiert und ich werde sicherstellen, dass Sie Spaß haben und sich in jeder unserer Lektionen motiviert fühlen, da dies ein Schlüsselaspekt beim Lernen einer neuen Sprache ist :)

Ich halte mich für eine sehr kommunikative und dynamische Lehrerin, die einfühlsam und geduldig ist. Ich sehe jede Unterrichtsstunde mit meinen Schülern als Gelegenheit, mich als Lehrerin zu verbessern, Spaß zu haben und meine Talente weiterzuentwickeln. Es ist sehr erfreulich für mich zu sehen, wie meine Schüler die Reise des Erlernens einer neuen Sprache genießen und ihre Sprachkenntnisse von Tag zu Tag verbessern.

Mein Schwerpunkt liegt sowohl auf kommunikativem als auch auf aufgabenorientiertem Unterricht. Ich achte darauf, dass ich den Schülern alle Mittel an die Hand gebe, die sie zur Bewältigung der Aufgabe oder Übung benötigen. Ich arbeite viel an Vokabeln und Wortkombinationen und präsentiere grammatikalische Strukturen auf einfache, relevante Weise und verwende, wenn nötig, die Übersetzungsmethode. Ich denke, dass jeder Schüler anders ist und auch sein Lernstil, seine Motivation, seine Ziele und Interessen. Deshalb versuche ich, meinen Unterricht so weit wie möglich auf ihre Bedürfnisse und Interessen abzustimmen. Mein Ziel ist es, einen sicheren, fundierten und entspannten Raum zu schaffen, in dem sich der Schüler frei und ruhig fühlen kann, um die neue Sprache auszuprobieren und zu erproben. Ich passe meinen Korrekturstil an jeden Schüler an, aber im Allgemeinen höre ich aktiv zu, mache mir Notizen zu Korrekturen und neuen Vokabeln und gebe dieses Feedback am Ende der Unterrichtsstunde. Zuletzt, aber nicht weniger wichtig, ist die Auswahl der Materialien: Ich achte darauf, dass ich für jeden Schüler relevante Materialien entsprechend seinen Bedürfnissen und Interessen auswähle, da ich weiß, wie wichtig dieser Aspekt für die Motivation ist, eine neue Sprache zu lernen.
